Performing Arts

MS 343 students get to choose from several arts programs both in and outside of the school day.

Looping

Our students stay with the same content teachers throughout their middle school experience. This "looping" model helps teachers build meaningful relationships with students, better understand their individual learning needs, and provide consistent support year after year. Students benefit from a familiar, trusted teacher who can celebrate their growth and guide them throughout their journey.

High School Courses

All 8th grade students get the opportunity to take the 9th Grade Biology Regents and begin their high school experience with high school credit.

Additionally, 30 students take Algebra and 30 students take Advanced Spanish (LOTE).

Field Trips

At MS 343, we offer students as many opportunities as possible to experience what the city has to offer. We have partnered with Situation Project and local community members to offer students a variety of cultural experiences. Every year, all students get to experience at least two Broadway shows and other spectacular experiences throughout New York City.
