Congratulations to the MS343 girls who participated in the District 7 GEMS pinning ceremony at PS 49 last week! Also last week, two of our GEMs participated in the launch of My Sister's Keeper borough-wide. They got to meet the Bronx Borough President, the Deputy Borough President, TT Torress from Hot 97, and the founding principal of the G.E.Ms program, Dr. Ault Lee.

The mission of the GEM Program is to provide a sisterhood grounded on legacy, optimism, vigorous thinking and empathy in order to foster the development of strong leaders who will strengthen and unite society. GEMs promote unity, set high learning standards, and are the voice of reason and logic in our community.

We are thrilled to have so many young leaders represent MS343!
